Troop Leadership

A well-functioning Scout troop—one that’s new or one that’s been around for generations—is always developing, replenishing, reorganizing, and improving. The Scoutmaster, Assistant Scoutmaster(s), the Troop Committee, and the Patrol Leaders’ Council are continually met with opportunities to explore and challenges to meet, in order to assure the promise of Scouting is being delivered in the best way possible.

Our troop is SCOUT-LED so that means that our Adult Leaders are there to guide and support the work of the Youth Leaders who run the troop functions. The adult leaders do not RUN the troop. This is a big difference between Cub Scouts and Scouts BSA because in Cub Scouts, the adults are running the Pack functions as Den Leaders, Cubmasters, etc.
